Safekeeping accounts where the bank retains depositors’ funds, allowing withdrawals at any time. Accounts are tailored for various demographics and purposes, operated via passbooks, digital channels, or debit cards.
A Sharia-compliant savings account for individuals, joint account holders, or corporate entities. Requires a minimum balance of Birr 100 (or zero with a commitment to reach Birr 100 within a month). Operated via passbook, cash vouchers, internet/mobile banking, or NOOR debit card. Requires renewed ID and two passport photos; corporate accounts need business license and memorandum of association.
A gender-based savings account for women, women-owned businesses, or associations with over 50% women members. Offers discounts on goods/services from partnered suppliers when using the Hilwa debit card. Operated via cash slips, internet/mobile banking, or Hilwa debit card. Requires renewed ID (Kebele, driving license, student ID, passport, or yellow card), two passport photos, and business documents for organizations.
